A guide to building search engine friendly websites

When building a new site, it is a lot to consider, whether you are migrating from one site to another, upgrades its CMS or build a completely new website from scratch. Any descriptions that fit your project, there are many identical factors in all these cases.

In order to facilitate the work we have created a checklist for new sites. The list consists of six points where we give advice and tips.

Social Media – what does it actually mean?

Could it be simply that we have changed the venue for the personal communications and we are now a part of the daily dialogue on the net?

Do we have a quick look back we see that marketing communication has not changed that much over the past 10 years. We as marketers are still with the stylus and tell our consumers how to act. The abundance of advertising has forced our consumers to change the way they manage information. As a consumer, we choose today how, where and when we want to consume advertising. This means that we as marketers need to target the message to the right person at the right place at the right time to get the desired effect.

How links are valued by search engines?

What is it that determines if a link is ok, good, or incredibly good?

Before we dive into this so you may want to know why the search engines care about links to begin with. From the beginning, checked search engines on the text content and settled along it which side would come at the top. But when the latter began to come up so many pages that were as good lyrically as the search engine algorithms, so they had to find other ways to evaluate a page than just the text.

What should I consider when I change the website?

Risks associated with changing site is that for a while can fall out of the search engine index, which of course can lead to revenue losses for the company. The risk is, if you already have good placements in search engines, that does not automatically get back these investments to the new site, but must start from scratch.

Do not forget redirects

The above risks occur when changing URLs for their pages when switching website, but you can also lose placements to change paths to sub pages on its website if it is not done correctly. If it is only the domain name is changed and all sub-pages retain the same path it is sufficient to make a so-called 301-redirect, a Redelegation, of any page on the old domain to the new.

TrustRank, how credible is your site?

TrustRank can be very easily explained as “a measure of how trustworthy a site is.” But what is it that determines if the search engines see a website that is credible?

The reason that TrustRank came to was that the search engines needed something more than just the home page content and the number of links to it to determine whether it should be on a site or below. In addition, the phenomenon of “spam sites” (sites for the most part contain “junk” content to drive traffic) become increasingly common as the need for an effort to separate them. By then able to put a score on how trustworthy a site is as it is also easy to filter out such “spam pages”.
